About us

My name is Alice, and I'm delighted you're here! Echoing Memories was inspired by a lifelong fascination with family history and storytelling. I remember spending nights with my Mema, listening to her childhood stories. As I grew older, I used the internet to connect names, faces, and stories, solving mysteries and preserving history for future generations. Like echoes that fade with each repetition, memories can disappear over time. At Echoing Memories, a content writing service located in West Virginia, we're dedicated to preserving your family's unique history.

I attended Marshall University and the Huntington College of Business.  I have an associate's degree in business and went on to also graduate from West Virginia University with a Regent Bachelor Arts and a minor in English.  I previously had a newspaper column for the Jackson Herald in Ripley, WV and have written countless articles for various papers, websites, and projects.  I also have published poems in the Marshall University literary magazine, "Et Cetera."

I have been married to my long, lost high school sweetheart, Patrick, for nearly 12 years (we got a late start!) and the proud mother of three sons and two daughters.

More than just content writing

Echoing Memories isn't just another content writing service. At Echoing Memories, we offer advanced research using numerous paid platforms, including newspapers and records, to give you a complete experience. We have a passion for helping people that you won't find just anywhere. Unlike other genealogists who are strictly business, I delve into each project by getting to know you and your family.  We celebrate new revelations and share your sadness when we find information that is not so good. When you work with me, you'll get a friend who is an excellent writer, storyteller, and someone who cares about your history.

One of my biggest successes involved a old leather wallet & it's contents that was posted on Facebook.  The person who had it wanted to find the family.  The wallet contained photos of small children, a curl of baby hair, and an obituary for a small child.  Within hours I found the child's sister and found out the wallet had belonged to her father!  She was overjoyed to be able to get that treasure back.  I got to know her and did some research for her and also found she was a distant cousin of mine.

I want visitors to feel at home and that I'm not just about money. This is a passion that goes across decades. I want people to feel like they are getting a friend when they visit. I want them to feel like I care about them and their history...because I DO.
